The Bailiwick

I have found gold, seriously.

We first stumbled upon The Bailiwick a few months ago. Since then, it has become a firm favourite to take friends and family, the roasts on a Sunday are to-die-for, and I have also just discovered the best area within the restaurant for private dining and intimate dinners with small groups.

After a short period of closure, the Bailiwick re-opened back in May 2021, and it’s the epitome of a country classic pub not just in its facade but its fab location. It is right on the gates of Great Windsor Park, and it’s just… perfect!

Opened and run by Steven Ellis (previously of The Oxford Blue in Windsor), with his talented wife Ami as head pastry chef, the menu contains the very best produce of the area and whilst I have only been fortunate so far to sample their Sunday menu, I have grand plans to book their downstairs area for 40 of my friends and family for an event soon.

Given The Bailiwick’s proximity to hotels such as Brooklands, Great Fosters, The Runnymede and PennyHill Park, you could take the restaurant exclusively or a couple of tables for your delegates as part of your event. It would be a massive hit!

The most important thing though… the restaurant is dog friendly and Arthur bloody loves it.
