I usually write about business hotels and venues rather than those that are predominately leisure, but I can’t not share details on this gem I found last week via my good friend Clare.
Situated in the gorgeous village of Mobberley in a Grade II listed building, The Roebuck Inn opened its doors to the public in 2016 with six stunning bedrooms, all individual in design and it made for the perfect place for our girl’s weekend last weekend.
The Roebuck Inn has won a whole series of accolades, including “The Times Top 25 Cosy UK Hotels for Winter 2020/21” and was featured in Mail online ‘World’s Cosiest Places 2017″, and you can see why.
Along with the residential aspect, the Inn has terraces, tiered gardens, a lovely bar and a restaurant which had (and I am not exaggerating) the best French Onion soup I have ever had (and that includes what I have sampled in France). It was gorgeous.
My girlfriends and I checked in on Saturday afternoon, spent a few hours in our lovely rooms (mine had a gorgeous bath in the middle of the room) before meeting downstairs for cocktails, then dinner and had a wonderful time.
The following day, we had a fantastic breakfast, put on our walking shoes, and went for an epic walk through the gorgeous village, a map provided by the Inn’s team.

I loved our stay – rooms were £135 per night (inc bed and breakfast), and whilst I only took photos of my room (below), you can see the other rooms via this link.
I would highly recommend a stay if you are ever in the area.
