I have been to Bills a few times and have no idea why, but thought it was a chain, owned by someone from New Zealand?!
That aside, its not and instead has it’s foundations in East Sussex where founder Bill Collison started his “Bills” in a shed before moving onto the high street and then opening the restaurants we know and love today..
My Bills is located in Clink Street, Borough and this morning we went for breakfast to celebrate Karis’s birthday.
The food (as ever) was spot on. I had 2 poached eggs with a side of baked beans (£7.95) and the ladies had a sausage sandwich (£4.65) and scrambled eggs on toast (£4.95). For the price you really can’t beat it. I have spent £10.00 in Pret before for a coffee, juice and a baguette for breakfast!
The staff this morning were also wonderful (despite not letting me in before 8.00 am (their opening time) and having to do laps in the rain because I was early) and I have always found them to be so.
I really can’t fault Bills and hope to keep going back! You can find the story or Bills and their menu here!
